The indexed book is a chronological history of Grundy County law enforcers beginning with the first sheriff.  It contains 240 pictures of Grundy County sheriffs, deputies, constables, jailers, Tennessee State Troopers, TBI agents, ABC agents, and jails.

Five appendixes are included beginning with Appendix A, which is a list of all the Sheriffs starting with Philip Hawkins Roberts in 1844 and ending with the present Sheriff  Brent Myers, gr. gr. grandson of Philip Hawkins Roberts.

Also included is information and some pictures of several firsts in Grundy County such as the first female deputy, the first female state trooper in Tennessee who is from Grundy County, the first female juror, the first female foreperson of the Grand Jury, and the first female Judge in the county.

This book would be an outstanding addition to any library.
