We have 5 standing committees that contribute to the success of the Grundy County Historical Society and operation of our Heritage Center.

The Museum Committee operates, maintains, and manages the Museum and the Exhibit Hall within the Heritage Center. The committee is responsible for the day to day management of the Exhibit Hall and other exhibit areas of the Heritage Center.

The Library and Research Committee maintains, manages and operates on a day to day basis the Library and Research Center within the Heritage Center. The committee receives, catalogs, preserves, and maintains records of all documents and materials for use and display in the Library and Research Center.

The Publications and Publicity Committee currently publishes our quarterly newsletter “The Pathfinder”. In addition,  in the summer of 2013,  the committee published a two volume book on the cemeteries of Grundy County.
